SABC probe finds R1.4bn in misuse of funds
The Special Investigating Unit is investigating misuse of funds and fraud amounting to R1.4 billion at state broadcaster SABC, Business Day reported on Friday.
The extent of the fraud and misuse of public funds comes as the SABC is once again appealing to the government for a bail-out.
The SIU has finalised six cases concerning the public broadcaster which have been referred to the National Prosecuting Authority for a decision on prosecutions.
The unit's sweeping probe into financial irregularities started at the request of the SABC 10 months ago……. Read the full article
