Isaiah 40:31

Lord, push me from my cosy nest
Where I fee so secure,
In You alone I find true rest,
Your promises are sure.

Though mountains may be rough and steep
and storms and wind prevail,
Your mighty power will always keep
Your love will never fail.

At times I feel I’ve little worth
I flap my wings and try
to rise above the things of earth –
Lord, teach me how to fly.

You are the Wind beneath my wings
I’ll put my hope in You,
What comfort, joy and peace it brings
when You my strength renew.

Mother Teresa

A true Christian and someone i can really respect and look up to. The Christian life of Mother Teresa bears witness to the Power and Love of GOD.

The Meeting of Minds

Quote:

"In September, 2002, Mandela gave an interview to "Newsweek" and the following summary gives his views on the situation with regard to the Iraq crisis:

You will come to the conclusion that the attitude of the United States of America is a threat to world peace…. It (war against Iraq) is clearly a decision that is motivated by George W. Bush’s desire to please the arms and oil industries in the United States of America…When there were white (UN) secretary generals you didn’t find this question of the United States and Britain going out of the United Nations. But now that you’ve had black secretary generals like Boutros Boutros Ghali, like Kofi Annan, they do not respect the United Nations. They have contempt for it… It is the men around him (Cheney and Rumsfeld) who are dinosaurs, who do not want him (President Bush) to belong to the modern age… The only man, the only person who wants to help Bush move to the modern era is Gen. Colin Powell."

Here we have nelson pontificating and being somewhat self righteous. Known for his rose tinted glasses he accuses President George Bush of being a racist! Not only this, but he ignores the fact that religious criminals attacked America murdering over 3000 people of every nationality. He should focus on the 300 000 thousand Murdered people in South Africa, mostly at the hands of his followers since 1994.

Nelson was charged for clandenstinly storing munitions that would have made the Twin Towers look like a Sunday Picnic.

Quote:

"The full list of munitions and charges read as follows:
 One count under the South African Suppression of Communism Act No. 44 of 1950, charging that the accused committed acts calculated to further the achievement of the objective of communism;
 One count of contravening the South African Criminal Law Act (1953), which prohibits any person from soliciting or receiving any money or articles for the purpose of achieving organized defiance of laws and country; and
 Two counts of sabotage, committing or aiding or procuring the commission of the following acts:
1) The further recruitment of persons for instruction and training, both within and outside the Republic of South Africa, in:
(a) the preparation, manufacture and use of explosives for the purpose of committing acts of violence and destruction in the aforesaid Republic, (the preparation and manufacture of explo- sives, according to evidence submitted, included 210,000 hand grenades, 48,000 anti-personnel mines, 1,500 time devices, 144 tons of ammonium nitrate, 21.6 tons of aluminum powder and a ton of black powder);
(b) the art of warfare, including guerrilla warfare, and military training generally for the purpose in the aforesaid Republic;
(ii) Further acts of violence and destruction, (this includes 193 counts of terrorism committed between 1961 and 1963);
(iii) Acts of guerrilla warfare in the aforesaid Republic;
(iv) Acts of assistance to military units of foreign countries when involving the aforesaid Republic;
(v) Acts of participation in a violent revolution in the aforesaid Republic, whereby the accused, injured, damaged, destroyed, rendered useless or unserviceable, put out of action, obstructed, with or endangered:
• (a) the health or safety of the public;
• (b) the maintenance of law and order;
• (c) the supply and distribution of light, power or fuel;
• (d) postal, telephone or telegraph installations;
• (e) the free movement of traffic on land; and
• (f) the property, movable or immovable, of other persons or of the state.

Thank You Prayer (10) Algoa Bay Port Elizabeth

Thank You, Lord, for the world so fine,
Thank You for these clothes of mine,
Thank You, God, for the birds so sweet
Thank You God for the food we eat.

Thank You for the flowers we pick
Thank You for making the world so quick,
Thank You for my parents so kind
I made up this poem and I know You don’t mind.

Thank You God for Daddy so tall,
Thank You God for Mommy so small,
Thank You God for the birds that fly
From their nests to the bright blue sky.

Thank You for the Saviour Who came
Into my heart, and I praise His Name,
Please forgive my sins today,
And fill me now, O Lord, I pray.

British Bride Murdered South Africa

Picture from the MAIL ONLINE

"Pictured on their wedding day, Anni and Shrien Dewani look blissfully happy as they celebrate their nupitals.
But less than two weeks after this photograph was taken 28-year-old Anni was murdered after the couple were hijacked during their honeymoon in South Africa....."

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1329885/Pictured-wedding-day-tragic-British-bride-murdered-carjackers-honeymoon.html#ixzz15NF9AH4r

The news of this tragedy was broadcast over TV in South Africa but at great embarrassment to the ANC. Instead of accepting that this country is sickeningly violent, they tried to offset the damage by showing a gas explosion at a Mexican tourist resort, as if that excuses this kind of behaviour! We don't have to tell you who is responsible for this crime. The same people who murdered 300 000 people since 1994!

The Pro's and Con's of Being Single Algoa Bay Port Elizabeth

PROS
You can read all night if that’s what you’d like,
Without considering Jack, John or Mike;
You can hog the whole bed and not have to care
that you’ve got all the blankets, for you don’t have to share.

You can sleep all day when the weekends come,
and don’t have to think of your hubby’s tum,
If you don’t feel like cooking, you can eat jam and bread,
or, if you are hungry, you can eat out instead.

You can wear anything and don’t need consent
from fussy husbands, who may not relent
when they see the outfits you’d like to buy,
and to your pleading, they turn a blind eye.

You can do what you wish, whatever it be,
No matter how crazy, there’s no-one to see
if you tidy your cupboards at twelve every night,
wear curlers to bed, and look quite a sight.

You can go where you like and feel quite free
to visit your friends each evening for tea,
If you feel like a trip to the ‘States, you can go
(providing there’s cash) but he can’t say no.

You can spend what you want on things you may see
to which stingy husbands would never agree;
Your money is yours, to use on yourself,
So these are the “pros” while you sit on the shelf.

CONS
Not always a hanky that’s big, clean and dry,
No shoulder to use when you want a good cry;
Nobody near when you need him the most;
Nobody to smile when you burn all the toast.

There’s no-one to tell you how to behave
when you stuff yourself with the food you crave,
On your own you forget yourself and just eat
‘til you’re bloated and bilious and can’t see your feet.

It’s great to have someone buy you a steak,
And to solve all the problems (which sometimes you make!)
For when the time comes when you find that you’re broke,
then a husband can be a wonderful bloke.

Yes, hubbies are handy, I’m sure you’ll agree
for unlocking doors when you’ve lost your key,
For killing the spiders that frighten you so,
And fixing your car that refuses to go.

-46-
There’s no-one to talk to late in the night
when you find you can’t sleep, ‘til he puts things right;
Husbands are useful for easing the tension –
besides other things (which I won’t dare to mention!)

No-one to scrub your back in the bath,
To undo stuck zips, or share a good laugh,
No gallant man to come to your aid,
These are the “cons” when you’re an “old maid.”

AN AFTERTHOUGHT

Are babies a `pro’ or a `con’ – who knows?
But rest assured, from their head to their toes,
When the nappies are clean, and they give you that smile,
There’s nothing that’s sweeter, or more worthwhile.

Ezekiel's Tomb on the Edge of Destruction

"It was Ezekiel -- who inspired the Jewish people
in their darkest hour to never forget its ethical legacy
and to never stop believing in a better tomorrow...."
.
Ezekiel's Tomb on the Edge of Destruction

by Ariel Harkham

A short fifteen-minute drive outside Kerbala, Iraq, one can witness the frontlines of the clash between East and West, Islamism and progress. There, in the small town of Al-Kifl, lies -- at least at the time of this writing -- the 2,500-year-old Tomb of the Prophet Ezekiel. But for the first time in recorded history, the Tomb is threatened not by the collateral damage of war, nor the ignominies of thieves and bandits, but by a planned, government-authorized, and taxpayer-funded demolition. The Jerusalem Post and various watchdog groups have reported that the Iraqi Cultural and Antiquities...(Read more)

Laying Down Our Life for the Bride

Laying Down Our Life for the Bride
TGIF Today God Is First Volume 1, by Os Hillman
11-05-2010

"Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father" (John 10:17,18).

Jesus was called to lay down His life for His bride, the Church. Men are called to emulate this same "laying down" our lives for our wives - our earthly brides. Men are to be a physical representation of what Christ has done for each of us. As we men do this, we experience the love of the Father. Wives will experience the love of the Father as husbands do this. Most of us men fight this process due to our own insecurities, independence, pride and ego. However, it is the very laying down our lives that allows us to connect to the Father just as Jesus connected to His Father.........”

Blacks attack Canadian Tourist South Africa

Quote
"I know this could happen to anyone but what gets to me is that it was on a national heritage site, supposed to be one of the safest places in the country. It was brazen and during the day. It was on a walking trail with no warning and no security to prevent something like this. It is very disappointing," Richard Lewis, the father of the family, told the Cape Argus."
